"O SON OF SPIRIT! My first counsel is this: Possess a pure, kindly and radiant heart."
Bahá'u'lláh

Welcome to the Bahá’í Community of Redlands

The Bahá’í community of Redlands is part of a global movement dedicated to building unity, fostering peace, and serving humanity. Rooted in the teachings of Bahá’u’lláh, the Founder of the Bahá’í Faith, we are committed to creating an inclusive and vibrant community where individuals of all backgrounds can come together to work toward a better world.

A Rich History in Redlands

Our community has been an active presence in Redlands for decades. Since the establishment of the Local Spiritual Assembly in 1974, we have worked to contribute positively to the social and spiritual life of the region. This year, we are proud to celebrate 50 years of service and community-building—a testament to the enduring spirit of collaboration and love in Redlands.

Who We Are

The Bahá’í community of Redlands is as diverse as the area we serve. Our members come from many walks of life, with unique talents and interests that enrich our collective efforts. Among us are teachers, full-time students, local business owners, artists, musicians, and individuals skilled in technology. One of our members is a champion bridge player, while another is a passionate gardener. Several are excellent cooks, and some dedicate their time to volunteering with local non-profit organizations. This diversity reflects our belief in the unity of humanity and the value of every person’s contribution.

What We Stand For

The Bahá’í Faith teaches the oneness of humanity and promotes values such as equality, justice, and service. Our guiding principles include:

  • Unity in Diversity: Recognizing the unique contributions of every individual.
  • Equality of Women and Men: Advocating for a world where all have equal opportunities.
  • Community Building: Strengthening bonds through education, consultation, and service.

These principles shape all our activities and help us contribute meaningfully to the Redlands community.

Activities and Events

Our community offers a variety of programs designed to nurture spiritual growth and foster meaningful connections:

  • Devotional Gatherings: Spaces for prayer, meditation, and reflection open to everyone, regardless of belief.
  • Children’s Classes: Programs that cultivate virtues and moral education for children.
  • Youth Empowerment Activities: Initiatives that inspire young people to become agents of positive change.
  • Study Circles: Collaborative learning sessions exploring Bahá’í teachings and their application to daily life.
  • Service Projects: Collective efforts addressing local needs, from environmental initiatives to social harmony.
