Badí‘ Calendar
The Bahá’í calendar, known as the Badí‘ calendar, is a solar calendar introduced by the Báb and later adopted by Bahá’u’lláh for the Bahá’í Faith. It consists of 19 months of 19 days each, totaling 361 days, with 4 or 5 additional days (known as Ayyám-i-Há) to align with the solar year. The calendar begins on Naw-Rúz (March 21), marking the spring equinox in the Northern Hemisphere. Its structure emphasizes themes of renewal and the sacred significance of time, with each month and day named after attributes of God, such as Splendor, Glory, and Beauty.
